Caro Thomas (she/they)

Arts & Museum Education Policy

Caro Thomas grew up in Kansas City where she discovered a deep love of photography with their first Barbie Polaroid camera at the age of six. Throughout childhood and adolescence, Caro loved the arts and was lucky enough to see some of the best museums in the world.

After completing a BA in Studio Art at Scripps College with a concentration in photography, Caro moved back to Kansas City and found her way to education and curatorial work. Wanting to explore how to improve educational systems and how we support the arts, Caro went back to school for an M.S. in Education and Social Policy with a Graduate Certificate in Museum Studies from the University of Kansas. They will graduate in the spring of 2024. Aside from politics, education, and art, Caro loves traveling the world, curling up with a blanket and a good book or movie, and spending time with her partner and dog.
